Robert Kuehnle is the Varsity Head Coach at Jefferson High School. Robert was a four year letterman at Fort Zumwalt West High School where in completion he received a scholarship to play at Culver-Stockton College. During the summers Robert played for Saint Louis collegiate teams and for two years he played out of state. After graduating Robert took a job in Monroe City where he helped with the baseball team and during summers worked at Balls and Strikes. While in Monroe Robert and coached Softball, Track, and Basketball along with completing his Masters degree in curriculum and instruction. After two years Robert was offered a job as a Blue Jay which we humbly accepted. Robert currently teaches World Languages at Jefferson High School. Robert currently resides in St. Louis, MO. Where he is awaiting his first child.
Gene DeSalme is the pitching coach and Junior Varsity Coach for the Jefferson Bluejays. This is his 6th season with the program. Before joining the coaching staff, Gene enjoyed an extensive playing and coaching career. He attended Rolla High School, where he was a two sport (baseball and basketball) athlete. He competed on the varsity level in baseball for 4 years before attending Meramec Junior College. After his freshmen year at Meramec, he was drafted by the New York Mets in the 16th round of the 1999 amateur draft. Gene opted to return to school for his sophomore season at Meramec. He played the 2000 collegiate summer season in the Northwoods League for the Brainerd Mighty Gulls and after attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Lousiana during his junior year. There, he helped the Demons to capture the Southland Conference regular season title. Gene was again drafted his junior year by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 16th round. He played three seasons in the Brewers minor league system, and two seasons of unaffiliated professional baseball for the Edinburgh Roadrunners of the Central Baseball League and the Gateway Grizzlies of the Pioneer League, respectively.
Gene has taught individual pitching lessons in the St. Louis area for years before joining the Jefferson coaching staff. While finishing his degree and working in the St. Louis area before he began teaching, he gave lessons at the Ozzie Smith Sports Complex and the The Fieldhouse Training Center in St. Louis. Gene was also the pitching coach for the American Nationals baseball team of the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association (SLABA), and helped guide them to two regular season SLABA championships and a spot in the Pony League National Baseball Championship in Tampa, Florida.
Gene holds a B.A. degree in political science from the University of Missouri-St. Louis as well as a M.S. degree in sports rehabilitation from Logan University in Chesterfield, MO. He teaches 8th grade U.S. history as well as Speech and Debate at Danby-Rush Tower Middle School. Gene is happily married to his wife Jen and plan to start a family. They have four cats, Pretty Kitty, Vladimir, Polly, and Miss Bigglesworth.

Am now a paraprofessional at Jefferson R7, coaching football, maybe basketball and baseball
